Thanks!

I just wanted to thank everyone for the wonderful compliments you gave me Shedir and me! They gave a nice little boost to the ego, and I think everyone needs that from time to time. I know I sure do at least! I have Shedir ready to send out in the mail, and hopefull it will find it's way to the right place. Now I just have to find a way to get to the post office before it closes! That's gonna be trickier than knitting the hat!

I am almost done with the front of Twist and I have 30 rows into the back. I have the straps on stich holders so that I can decide how wide I want them to be.I think that I am going to stop decreasing now so that the straps with be wide enough to hide my bra straps. I feel like I should type more, but I'm falling asleep sitting up with my computer in my lap. That's a accident waiting ot happen. I'll just have to make it up to you tomorrow. Have a great day!

Long Day

Work is absolutely killing me. It is 12:22 and I am finally home after working all day. Believe it or not I have to be back there at 6am. I will be so incredibly happy when Christmas is over and things slow down. Needless to say I didn't get any knitting done today. What I would like to do is show you an ornament that my mom cross stitched for my brother Nick in Iraq.

Isn't that cute? Santa is in desert camouflage. I think that Nick is going to love it. It is always nice when people make you things from the heart. We all sent him Christmas presents and hope that they will make his day a little brighter when he opens them. His wife is holding off on celebrating Christmas until he gets home. I don't blame her one bit.

Well that's it for tonight friends. I'm sorry for the short post but I have to get what little sleep in that I can. I get off at two tomorrow, and I plan to do some serious knitting on that scarf. Even though I probably won't get it to her before Christmas, I want to at least have it shipped before then. Better late than never right? Have a great day everyone. Hooray for Friday!!!

I had a great time Saturday with the girls. The battery died on my camara, but Dale came to the rescue. Armed with here handy dandy cell phone she took a few pictures for ya. Thanks Dale!

 

That is a shot of Janette and I weaving in all the ends on the bag. Thanks Janette :) Rob you got so lucky! Believe it or not, it didn't take us very long to get it done.





Here are all of the leftover scraps of yarn after we finished weaving. Doesn't look that impressive?




Dale took a picture next her coffee cup for scale. It was a pretty good sized pile of scraps. Rhonda immediately scooped them up for a surprise. Speaking of Rhonda....




Did I ever tell you she is one talented woman? One of her other loves is Polymer clay, and she makes some incredible things with it. This is the best picture we could get with the cell phone, but you can still tell that her stuff is beautiful. Here is another shot...





I plan on getting more pictures of her stuff when I get my battery. Actually I will probably be bringing my camera along with me to knitting more often. I would love to share all the wonderful things my talented friends create! Did I finish the bag??? Well I can't give it ALL away in one entry now can I?

Now I don't know where to buy one of these, but I have a solution. It is quite easy to make your own pom pom maker using cardboard. I did a search on the internet and found several websites giving information for making pompoms. Due to copywrite issues I can't just cut and paste the info here, but I can give the link.
