Socks On Circular Needles

Someone emailed me tonight asking for information about knitting socks on circular needles. I thought, "What a great question! Maybe I should put some links on the blog!" Soooo that's what I am doing. Here are some links regarding socks on circular needles. I hope you find them helpful.

Where Oh Where

Did I go this week? It would be easier to ask where I didn't go. I know this blog is totally neglected, and I'm amazed to see that anyone sticks around. Some major life changes have been happening in this household that have been affecting my blogging time. I either have no time or when I have time I'm too tired. This mess should hopefully clear up in a couple of months, and all will be explained. Just hang in there. Thank goodness for bloglines and subscriptions. I can't imagine how frustrating it would be to try and keep up with when I post. Just bear with me. It will be better soon...

Show N Tell: Sue's Entry

Good Morning, Stacie!

Just so you didn't think I was being wicked and idle while DH is away, here's what I just finished. This came from CROCHET Magazine's January 2006 edition. It is the "Kimono Coat" and I made it for my daughter. She LOVES it. It was definitely the hardest thing I've ever made and I had to modify the pattern from a regular medium to an XS, as well as some other changes. But, I am better for having done this and am already working on the Lion Brand Suede Fringed Ponch for younger DD!

Glad your Hubby is home...... Wish mine was!

Where the heck...

are the darn Arizona pictures?!! Rob took a bunch of wonderful pictures while in Arizona and I can't find them to save my life. I want to post a couple of my favorites on here, so hopefully I'll find them. Arizona is beautiful!  I'm glad that you enjoyed the videos, and I hoped that they were helpful. If you ever want another technique shown on here, just let me know. I will me more than happy to do another tutorial. Even though holding a camara between my knees and reaching around them to knit was a little on the tough side, it really wasn't all that bad. I would have posted the bloopers, but I try to keep this blog safe for young ears and eyes hahaha! Pictures of the scarf will be coming soon. In the meantime, have you seen this website? Holy Dropped Stitches!! There are a lot of free patterns!! Do you have a few free hours???

Too Late

I didn't get home until around 11 tonight, so I'll have to post the pictures tomorrow. I have to get to bed! Have a good Wednesday.

Tutorials

Ok here are the two videos showing how to knit in the front purl in the back and purl in the front knit in the back. Making these videos was a major pain without the use of a tripod or the help of another human being. You don't want to know how long it took to make clips that last for 2 seconds. So when I found out that I said bring the yarn to the front instead of saying bring the yarn to the back, I nearly had a true to life two year old tantrum! Needless to say the boo boo is staying in the video. Haha! I hope they are helpful :)

Show N Tell: Veronica's Entry

Oh, look.... a blizzard just blew in a polar bear even if he is ever so tiny! (in my dreams of course, as our weather here in my corner of Canada for November is unseasonably warm....we are breaking records today at +22C!! Almost took the motorcycle out!!) I decided to name him Blizz and gave him a festive red velvety hat with a jingly bell on the end.. ..he is ready for the holiday season! He is only 1.5 inches seated; he doesn't stand well because he is a bent legged design, but if he did...he would be about 2.25... He is needle felted from Natural Icelandic top wool from New Zealand. I found this great little sleigh last Christmas..on sale somewhere...sure wish I could remember where because now I want more of them! It is just a cheapy resin thing...but looks to me like real carved wood and is perfect for tiny bears.

Field Trip

When I walked out of my front door to start my feild trip pictures I was lucky enough to snap a quick picture of a Blue Heron in flight...

Then I saw this little critter. We have tons and tons of these here in Florida, and the cats love watching them through the sliding glass door.

A short walk around the building will take you to this nice "back yard" area...

A walk across the parking lot takes you to a lake that man made...

A walk through the trees behind my house will take you to a lake that God made...

And a drive gets me here...
